Margaret Anne Donohue-Ledwith passed away on January 29th, 2023, at age 75.
Margaret was born in Brooklyn on February 11, 1947. She was a loving and devoted Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She attended St Therese of Lisieux-The Little Flower, St Brendan's High School and Brooklyn College.

Margaret was blessed with a loving heart, gracious spirit, patient soul and sharp mind. These wonderful attributes led her to become a teacher.

Margaret began teaching at P.S.191 in Crown Heights Brooklyn in 1968. She spent her entire career there, retiring in 2008. Margaret loved teaching.
She had a wonderful ability to reach students by making education fun and accessible. Always creative, Margaret could take plain fabrics, simple items and craft beautiful games, costumes and colorful sets for her students and children.

Margaret loved a good story. She loved books, television and movies. A love ahe passed on to her children. Although their favorite stories were the ones Margaret told about her family and growing up at 504 East 40th Street.

Margaret also had a beautiful singing voice. She sang for many years in the choir at St. Therese of Lisieux-Little Flower. In her later years her singing voice was mostly shared with her family. A sound and memory her children will always cherish.

Margaret is survived by her daughters Helen, and Mary, stepsons John and Christopher, daughter-in-law Sun, grandchildren Haley and Owen, and cherished friend Laurel (Abdallah) Adlouni. She was predeceased by her husband John Ledwith, parents Helen (nee McVeigh) and Vincent Donohue and her brothers Andrew and Vincent Donohue. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Most of all Margaret loved and took care of her family. They will love her forever, like her for always. As long as they are living their Mommy she'll be.
