Obituary for Flora Iannarelli
Flora "Flo" Iannarelli, 56 years old, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer.
Flora was an alum of St Jude elementary school, Canarsie High School, Brooklyn College, and LIU. For the past 36 years, her career revolved around education, which was her passion and purpose--a goal she set for herself at 6 years old. Her love for children was so apparent as she was always happiest in a classroom teaching students. She went on to become a teacher trainer and eventually an Education Administrator where she helped countless principals, teachers and students. Although Flo never had children of her own, she considered her students, "her kids"
Flo lived life to the fullest. She touched millions of people's lives with her amazing kindness, compassion, magmatic personality, humor, and larger-then-life presence! She always put her best foot forward and to know her was to love her!
She was an avid fan of music from Freestyle to Elvis, The Beatles and Disco.
Flo was predeceased by her mon Antonina, survived by her loving father Vincenzo, her stepmother Angela, her sister Maria and brother-in-law Alfred, stepsister Angela and husband Santo, stepbrother Anthony and wife Laura. Flo had nieces and nephews that she adored: Julia, Anthony Jr., Joseph, Anthony, goddaughter Gianna and godson Varian
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in honor of Flora to the Multiple Sclerosis Society and St Jude's children's Hospital.
